Jason is licensed in all state courts (including the Tennessee Supreme Court) in Tennessee, the Western and Middle District Federal Courts in Tennessee. He has practiced law, over the years, all across the state. Now, he serves as County Attorney for Decatur County, Tennessee. Also, he is BV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to practicing law, Jason has been, since 2011, an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee at Martin-Parsons Center, where he teaches a variety of criminal law and criminal justice courses.

Since 2000, Jason been married to Amanda (Churchwell) Pearcy. They have three children: Hillary (deceased), Caroline, and John Lawson. His wife is a third grade teacher at Parsons Elementary School. They are both involved in their community, including the Decatur County Education Foundation and various other civic groups. They are members of the Parsons church of Christ

Jason graduated from Riverside High School, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and in 2000 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Since 2000, he’s been practicing law. From 2000 to 2008, Jason, although he lived in Parsons, worked at the Law Office of Charles L. Hicks in Camden, handling many types of cases. Then, in 2008, Jason opened his own law office in his hometown of Parsons, where he’s still practicing today.
